Maureen Grant, CCE is a multiple award-winning picture editor working film and television in Tkaronto.
Her expertise is crafting a project’s tone through her unique creative lens, and creating strong collaborative partnerships with directors and showrunners. She brings her passion for of film, art, and music to her work in sculpting image and sound.
She is the winner of three Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Editing in TV Comedy (SORT OF) and Best Editing in Web Program or Series (I HATE PEOPLE, PEOPLE HATE ME and MY DEAD MOM).
In 2022, she won the Directors Guild of Canada Award for Best Editing - Movies for Television and Mini-Series (STOLEN BY THEIR FATHER). She is a seven-time nominee of the Canadian Cinema Editors Awards. Notably, Molly McGlynn’s feature film FITTING IN premiered at SXSW 2023 and TIFF 2023, winning Best Canadian Feature at the Vancouver Film Festival 2023. She is an alumnus of the CFC Editors Lab and Berlinale Talents.
Forthcoming work includes work includes Tommy Dorfman’s feature film LAURA DEAN KEEPS BREAKING UP WITH ME, and Anna Maguire’s feature EXTERNAL NEIGHBOURS. She is currently working with Cameron Pictures on their upcoming CBC / BBC Northern Ireland series COMMITTED.
She participates in the growth of the film community, participating on numerous juries and committees, and mentors emerging talent, including the 2025 cohort of the Editors Lab at the Canadian Film Centre. She was on the advisory committee for the Canadian Academy’s Women In Post Program, and served as the Events Chair of the Canadian Cinema Editors, programming three editions of Edit Con.
Maureen is a co-founder of QUEER IN POST, a space for 2SLGBTQIA+, non-binary, and gender diverse creatives in film and television post production. QUIP is currently developing and running its first iteration of the course Demystifying Post, funded by Film Toronto, a workshop by and for the QT-BIPOC community. QUIP also runs a talent hub and job database, quip.crral.com, which is used across North America.
